Chicken wings! I’ve been following you since you were a member of the Project Life creative team. I enjoyed reading this post -- I enjoy personal, meandering, processing emotions writing more than business-y influencer writing. I’m on board with what your husband said: write should feel fun for you.

Yay! Someone got to the end of my 2,000-word essay! Thanks so much for your encouragement, and wow, I'm so humbled that you're still reading along. Thank you!

Chicken wings. I read Life without Cameron having no idea how much it would help in my own grief years later. Friend of Mary and Peter.

That's … 11 years ago! Crazy. (Also, the age of my oldest son – the younger one is 7 now.) Along for the ride, Ronnie! :)

Wow, that's amazing, Johanna. We're truly into a different season of life now, aren't we? Hope we can share a bit of it together.

It's so wonderful to read your writing again. Sometimes we try to find answers to our problems some everyone but the closest people to us. Thank you coming back to writing and publishing.

Oh, and chicken wings?

CHICKEN WINGS!!! This is actually hilarious because my 9 year old loves to randomly shout "chicken wings" ... so I loved that you picked this. Been reading along since the Pink Ronnie 2.0 days... LOVE EVERYTHING your write so I cannot wait for your niche to be "what interests me" rather than one set topic. Welcome back to a place where you feel freedom to write

Thank you soooo much, Claire! It sure is energising to feel that freedom again. I actually look forward to the thought of writing now, rather than dreading it. Also, please tell your 9 year old I am on the same page!! Haha. Chicken wings have always been my favourite food, so that naturally just popped into my mind first. :)

Chicken wings. 😊 I’m actually brand new to your writing so I appreciate the overview. I find myself in a somewhat similar place…blogging since 2005, mostly about our homeschool journey punctuated by my enjoyment of photography. I’ve put it down and picked it up again multiple times over the years and now I’m in a place where I want to pick it up to explore this midlife phase now that my kids are young adults and see where that takes me. Looking forward to reading more!

Welcome Stephanie! Wow, so lovely to have a brand new reader! You're a step ahead of me with the young adults. Would be interested in reading about your journey. Thanks for dropping by!

Chicken wings ! I'm so glad you're back ! And for fun ! Your husband's right of course, and I could have told you that years ago if I'd known you needed to hear it😉. It was pretty clear both in your writing and in your off-and-on relationship with it all, but sometimes it's so much easier to see others clearly than oneself🤷🏻‍♀️. Anyway ❤️,

Hi Charlotta, thank you! I'm so amazed and appreciative of readers like you who've followed my journey for so long and who've stuck around even when I didn't really know what I was doing. I guess I'm still figuring that out in a way, but I'm here to write about it along the way. :) So happy to have you here!
